Russell westbrook he downplayed the Lakers’ bad start to the season and, on the contrary, stressed that the schedule is too long to worry about.
“I’m fine with adversity honestly,” he told ESPN. “I never panic during the season because it’s too long and no one is gaining anything right now,” said the point guard who averages 11.5 points, 8 rebounds and 6.5 assists.
Coach Frank Vogel said Monday that he will make changes to the starting lineup to try to get a better performance from his team in the nascent season.
The coach did not want to advance on what those changes will be, but assured that “the team will be much more dynamic and better located in defense.” So far the Lakers have had Westbrook, Kent Bazemore, LeBron James, Anthony Davis and DeAndre Jordan as their starters, which means that if there were substitutions they would be for the shooting guard and center positions.
