Kevin Durant: “I really like Chris Duarte”

The Brooklyn Nets star appreciated the rookie class of the current season and highlighted the form and skills in the Dominican’s game

The rookie of the Indiana Pacers, Chris Duarte, continues to attract the attention of the NBA and the most recent to highlight his talents was the superstar of the Brooklyn Nets, Kevin Durant.

In the new NBA League Pass proposal, an alternate broadcast of Thursday league games, Jamal Crawford and Quentin Richardson interviewed Durant who highlighted the rookie class of 2021.

“I like a lot of the rookies this season. Scottie Barnes. I like (Chris) Duarte. We played a couple of weeks ago. Reminds me of old school shooters. It’s quick to catch and throw, ”KD said.

Duarte and the Pacers visited the Brooklyn Nets on October 29, with the Dominican contributing 19 points and 4 rebounds, in a 105-98 loss.

“He (Chris Duarte) can shoot from medium distance, even after a couple dribbles, he’s a good size. I like it, I like it very much, ”Durant told Crawford and Richardson on the broadcast.

Also Jamal Crawford, the veteran of 20 season in the NBA, valued positively what Duarte has shown in the season, agreeing with Durant that he is one of the talents of his preference this year.

The Puerto Plata native has missed the last two games for the Indiana Pacers due to a sore right shoulder and is averaging 14.3 points and 4.4 rebounds in 32.1 minutes per game.

The next game between the Indiana Pacers and Brooklyn Nets will be Wednesday, January 5 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. In addition, both teams close their regular season in a duel at Barclay’s Center on April 10.
