A TIME TO PERFECT
“To enter the media you had to buy a space or be hired. Both options were complicated because, being unknown, the shops did not provide advertising and to prepare you had to go to Montevideo. In 88, the Alma Academy of Voice Talents arrived -under the direction of Alma Rolla Pizzorno- and a group of students was formed with theoretical classes that were given at Casa de la Cultura and practices that were done on Radio Tabaré because Dr. Carlos Gelpi It gave the opportunity for those of us who were studying that course to attend a program on Sunday afternoons and there I met Oscar Amaral, my current colleague, ”says Cardozo.
BEGINNINGS AND HIS ARRIVAL ON TV

The visible faces of the news program were Pablo Texeira and I who even carried out various functions from administrative to journalistic production, executive because you learn everything if you want to stay in the medium.
“I AM A GRATEFUL FOR LIFE”
We asked him if he considers it difficult to be in the media and the expectations for the future and he told us “I would not call it difficulties to be in but the opportunities did not appear and when they arose I did not let them pass and that is when you find different realities in each medium and sometimes You work for what they can pay you, although if you are prepared and do things well, you can appreciate much more, that is why I consider that you always have to update and continue preparing yourself to be at a level that the listener or viewer deserves. Today’s expectations are to continue enjoying the activity that I have been doing today at América FM for 7 years with Oscar Amaral at El Semáforo in a space where I inform and have fun. I am grateful for so many colleagues who gave me this activity and to be able to enjoy each day doing this task ”.
