SAN FRANCISCO DE MACORÍS.- The College of Basketball Coaches of the Duarte Province successfully celebrated the end of the year meeting at the Los Paulino tourist complex in the progressive community of La Bajada.
The assistant coaches enjoyed a wonderful day that included recreational games of dominoes, billiards as well as the awards ceremony for the most outstanding coaches of the past year.
Among those recognized was the outstanding coach Richard Ortega who was the most outstanding of the year 2022 after winning the La Vega tournaments with the Parque Hostos club and with San Martin in San Francisco de Macorís.
Likewise, the versatile Alexis Ferreiras was recognized at the local level, who managed to win the Poppy Basket tournament with the Undergraunt quintet and in superior basketball with reinforcements from the Guaranas.
On his side, the fiery coach Alexis Cruz of the Guerreros de los Rieles achieved recognition as coach of the training category for his commendable work in the minor categories in 2022.
The attendees enjoyed national and international drinks as well as a succulent buffet prepared for the occasion.
Affiliated members also received numerous tablecs, whistles, Christmas baskets and cash prizes through democratic raffles.
The activity was coordinated by professors Alexis Ferreiras, Amaury Ayala and Danilo Monegro from the executive committee of the entity that organized the pompous meeting.
Those present enjoyed the beautiful songs of Fernando Reyes (El Brandy) that was liked by the participants in this first great end-of-year meeting.
