With a simple opening ceremony, the CONDDE 2021 National University Basketball Championship was launched, which brings together 48 teams, 24 from each branch, from 30 institutions in the country.
The organization is run by the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosí in coordination with the National Council for Sports in Education (CONDDE).
The event was held in the Miguel Barragán auditorium, where the representatives of the 30 institutions that take part in the championship paraded. After that, a minute of silence was observed in memory of Professor Ignacio Moreno Ortiz, who was the National Technical Commissioner for Basketball.
Immediately the student of the Faculty of Accounting and Administration of the UASLP, Rodrigo Ruiz Burgaña, took the sports oath on behalf of all the participants.
This led to the opening “two” between students representing the UASLP and the University of Guadalajara, where teacher María del Socorro Ruiz threw the ball.
The note was given by the members of the presidium who each fired an inaugural shot, but none of them hit the mark, until ex-professional Arim Solares appeared, who achieved a clean basket.
Those who presided over the opening ceremony were: María del Socorro Ruiz Rodríguez, head of the Student Services Division, who represented the rector of the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosí, Alejandro Zermeño Guerra.
Manuel Alan Merodio Reza, Executive Secretary General of the National Council for Sports in Education; Edmundo Ríos Jáuregui, director of the Potosino Sports Institute; Félix Alberto Capilla Pérez, general coordinator of CONDDE’s region five; Inocencio Castillo Castillo, general director of the Vasconcelos University; Alberto Eduardo Camacho Martínez, coordinator of the Sports Department of the UASLP.

- The games are free to enter at the four venues: Miguel Barragán auditorium, University Sports Unit and CEDETARD Plan de San Luis, red room and blue room, from November 23 to 28.
