Chris Duarte invited to the NBA Draft Green Room

The presence of the Dominican in the Draft would imply high possibilities that he would be among the main selections this next July 29

The Puerto Plata Chris Duarte will be present at the Barclays Center on Thursday, July 29, where the franchises of the NBA they will have the opportunity to choose their future stars.

According to a report by Shams Charania, the Dominican was invited by the NBA to be present at the ‘Green Room‘on Draft night, which would mean he has a high chance of being selected in the first round of the draw.

At 24 years old, Duarte is defined as a “NBA ready” player, and has been showing himself with teams like the Golden state warriors Y Los angeles lakers.

According to reports, the Dominican would be present during the Draft celebration with those who are projected as the number one selection, Cade cunningham, and other great prospects such as Jalen Green, Evan Mobley, Jalen Suggs, Jonathan Kuminga, Scottie Barnes, among others.

Usually around 20 players are invited to be present at the event celebration.

In 2020, due to the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic, the NBA Draft was held virtually, but while it returns to normal in this edition, it will have a format a little closer to what is customary, this Thursday, July 29 at 8:00 PM EST from Brooklyn, New York.

In addition, tickets have been put on sale to allow the public in the stadium during this event, which will be broadcast by ESPN Y ABC.

Duarte would join Al Horford of the Boston Celtics and Karl Towns of the Minnesota Timberwolves, like the Dominican players who are currently in the NBA. Coincidentally, Duarte and Horford are both natives of Puerto Plata, a province located in the north of the Dominican Republic.
