Cerrito achieved his second consecutive victory and continues to grow in the table. Roland Marcenaro’s team beat Boston River by the slightest difference at the Charrúa Stadium. With Maximiliano Pérez’s goal at the start of the game, it was enough – but there was no excess – to take the desired and valuable three points in dispute. Boston was more in the complement, although it lacked to specify, and played the final stretch of the game with ten players for the red to defender Sebastián Gorga (double warning).
The opening goal was scored by Maximiliano Pérez -always on the lookout- after Maximiliano Silvera fought the ball in the middle of the area with goalkeeper Gonzalo Falcón. Boston River had a favorable chance to equalize the match, but Alberto Eiraldi put on the savior’s suit, when he covered with his foot the shot aimed at Rubén Bentancourt.
In the complement, Juan Tejera’s team advanced the lines. Cerrito played the bilge, and Boston repeatedly fell offside. The auriverde, in the final stretch and with an extra man after the expulsion of Gorga, stroked the second goal. But Wiston Fernández managed to clear right on the line, preventing the goal of “Bala” González. Time was not enough for Boston to reach at least a tie. Cerrito stomped again, got his second win in a row and began to progressively move away from the relegation table.
