Camila Kirschembaum: from her short stint in Spanish basketball to the NCAA

The basketball player Camila Kirschenbaum, emerged in Defensor Sporting is considered one of the best shooters of her age (18) in all of South America, and will face in the coming months, after passing through Spanish basketball in Joined Esportiva Mataró, the most important sporting challenge of his career: debuting in the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association), the prelude to the most important league in the world.

How do I get there? As the Uruguayan told Radio Uruguay (1050AM), it was through the Campuses carried out by the NBA Academy that “helped” it to generate contacts to enable this opportunity. One of the universities that was contacted was the Binghantom Public University in New York, where they offered him a full scholarship to join in August.

“Binghantom is listed as one of the best public universities in New York,” explained Camila, who already made a virtual visit to her future student center, located in the city of the same name, which is a three-hour drive from Manhattan. Regarding the sports level of the university, Camila assured that she has already been watching team games and that it will be “very demanding”

“My very long-term dream is to reach the WNBA (Women’s National Basketball Association) and obviously you have to work really hard to get there, it’s the best league.
