HOLY SUNDAY EAST.-Axel Goris led with 19 points the attack of the combined Calero Basketball Team, which beat Loros de Santo Domingo Este on Tuesday 98-92, in order to ascend to first place in Group B in the second division of the Liga Nacional de Desarrollo U- 22, organized by the Dominican Basketball Federation (FEDOMBAL) and as an option to the INAPA Cup.

Goris, captain of the Calero club, also captured five rebounds and received the support of Ángel Matos, with 18 points; Ezequiel Reyes with 14, John Salas with 13 and Albert Gutiérrez with nine.

With this victory over Los Loros, Calero puts his record at 3-1, while the representatives of the Pueblo Nuevo sector in Santo Domingo Este put their record at 2-2.

3-0; Walkers from Los Alcarrizos are second with 2-1, Bravos de Haina in third with 1-2 and Halcones de Santo Domingo Norte in last with 0-3.

Without this Tuesday’s game, Axel Goris shares with Richard Mejía, from the Loros de Santo Domingo Este, the leadership in points with 84 basketed in three games, averaging 28.0 baskets per game, followed by Luís Sánchez from the Bravos de Haina, with 65 units and Bryan Ramírez of the Villa Consuelo Swordsmen, with 64 points.

Calero returns to action this Thursday at four in the afternoon, when he faces the Villa Consuelo Swordsmen at the Mauricio Báez club in Villa Juana, with whom he shares first place in Group A.
