A terrifying assault in a women’s basketball game is causing people to talk on social media. And it is that in the registry it is seen how a player gives a brutal blow to the face of another of the rival team, which would have left the latter with serious consequences.
As reported by international press, everything would have happened in a basketball tournament of adolescent teams, in California, United States. The objective of the event was to promote good coexistence and companionship through sports, but the day ended up being a true ordeal.
The sad protagonist was individualized as Lauryn Ham, 15, who fell flat on the ground after receiving a huge blow to the face from a rival, which until today would have her with constant headaches and serious concentration problems that prevent her from returning to school.
The situation was witnessed by all those who were in the sports arena, including Alice Ham -mother of the attacked young woman- who did not hesitate to use her personal social networks to charge against her partner as the aggressor.
“This here makes my stomach sick. This happened to MY DAUGHTER at her game yesterday. There is absolutely no place for something like this in basketball. I don’t care how famous you are !! This mother told her daughter to ‘go and hit her’ and my daughter receives an unprovoked punch. Sorry, but it’s all that’s wrong with youth sports. The girl and her mother showed absolutely no remorse and were unapologetic. Youth sports must change, ”Lauryn’s mother wrote on her Instagram account.
Alice Ham also pointed out that the situation was reported to the Police, since it ensures that the level of aggression constitutes a crime and that it should be investigated as such.
