Karl-Anthony Towns finished with 23 points and 10 rebounds, and The Minnesota Timberwolves put a five-game losing streak behind them by beating the Portland Trail Blazers 116-111 on Sunday. Anthony Edwards had 24 points for Minnesota, which also snapped an eight-game losing streak at Portland.

For Portland it was their fifth loss in a row.. Anfernee Simons scored 26 points, his season-high for the Blazers, and Damian Lillard reappeared from an abdominal injury to contribute 24 points and 11 rebounds.

Larry Nance Jr. had a dunk for the Blazers, but Jarred Vanderbolt responded with another for Minnesota. After Edwards hit a pair of free throws, Patrick Beverly added a layup that extended Minnesota’s lead to 112-106 with less than a minute remaining and Portland couldn’t catch up.
