A reader writes who sends us this image taken on the north coast near the Cristo Redentor area. “Apparently some of the citizens do not understand Spanish, or directly cannot read, and that illiteracy in our national territory is practically nil. I write this because even though there are signs that explicitly say “Do not throw garbage”, the population insists and redoubles the bet, there is some garbage around the sign but there is much more throughout the area. Let us be responsible citizens, we are talking about the fact that we are a tourist department and we cannot show the worst of ourselves to those who visit our tours ”.
PRIDE
In Argentina the week of gay pride is commemorated on these days, the pride march was held for the first time in 1992 and is celebrated on the first Saturday of November of each year, in commemoration of the creation of Nuestro Mundo, the first movement homosexual in Argentina. Many see it as unnecessary vindication and wonder, why is there no heeterosexual pride day? It is a claim remembering that LGTB people exist, and that today they can take to the streets freely, almost always. The ‘day of straight Pride’ will take the day that straight teenagers, when feeling the first attraction to people of the opposite gender, are afraid and wonder if what they are feeling is right or if perhaps they should repress it to be ‘normal’.
RESPONSIBLE ADOPTION
A reader writes: “Last Sunday a responsible adoption day was held, and I think this initiative is very good. Let’s collaborate with Prodea. This organization is always there when it is needed, they have hundreds of dogs and they never leave anyone on foot. His love for the unprotected is so great that you cannot say no. We have responsibility for the animals, let’s take charge and do not abandon your pets. Another important initiative is to stop buying extremely expensive and genetically modified breed animals that suffer, and to adopt street animals ”.
NO COFFEE
We all know that we will have to eat less meat in the future, as livestock is responsible for around 15% of greenhouse gas emissions worldwide. But did you know that coffee is threatened by the climate crisis? Coffee production has a significant environmental impact; Estimates vary, but about 150 liters of water are needed for one cup, according to the UNESCO Institute for Water Education. How will we do what we need coffee as a basic need?
CALLED
Recently from the Intendancy of Salto a call was issued for the hiring of personnel to function as traffic inspectors and apparently the call had an excess of requirements to comply with such a simple position. Another detail of the call that caused intrigue was the requirement that to apply you must be more than 160 cm tall.

We would love to give thanks to the writer of this post for this amazing content
