The provinces of Mendoza, San Juan and San Luis decided to play a Tournament Pre-federal in the U15 category of the Tournament organized by the Argentine Confederation of Basketball, qualifying contest to dispute the national final stage.
Let us remember that the champion of the southern Apertura tournament, organized by the “Rodolfo Iselín” San Rafael Basketball Association, was Colegio San Martín (General Alvear), who invited the sub-champion Real del Padre to merge and San Rafael Tennis Club to form a competitive team in this tournament whose team is led by Alejandro Corra together with Javier Paquez.
In the last match of the qualifying phase, the selected team from the San Rafael Basketball Association “Rodolfo Iselín” beat Club Honor y Patria as a visitor by 51 to 37, a match corresponding to the 5th date of the contest that was played at the “Vicente Polimeni”, located in the department of Las Heras.
Despite the victory, the team led by Alejandro Corra and Javier Paquez, finished second in the standings, therefore with no chance of continuing in the competition. However, from the Argentine Basketball Confederation (organizer of the event) they confirmed the classifieds in the men’s U15 training division.

They also qualified for the national phase, the three best seconds, Alberdi (Villa Mercedes, San Luis), Leonardo Murialdo (Mendoza) and ASBRI together with Atenas Sport Club that qualified directly for being the Mendoza champion.
