“Auriblanco is family and that’s how we want to feel”

Moment of the papal, the yellow and white cast of bright blue and technically directed by Guido Fernández. The man with the “Guidoneta” talked about everything.

A new one at the head of a new team. How do you feel?

Very happy to have a new opportunity and that they trust in what we have been showing. With a lot of desire to start and return to all the teams’ fields.

What are the personal aspirations?

Being able to express our idea of the game and be protagonists, compete on a par with everyone and be able to reach the best positions in the Playoffs.

When it came to chatting with the people at the club, what did they ask of you?

They asked us to be competitive and achieve a communion between the players, coaching staff, fans and leaders. That all parts are identified and aligned.

What positive things would you repeat from the season you had with Danubio and what things would you not do?

I would love to be able to achieve that group mystique that made us strong and the level of play reached. As for what aspects I would like to improve, it would be in the game closures, which in the last key we did not know how to fasten.

What are the aspirations of the coaching staff and the squad?

Go as far as possible but without losing the joy and enjoyment of working on what we like.

How have training been so far, both physically and on the ball court?

We had the difficulty that several players, and even the coaching staff, were involved in El Metro and that brought us complications for training. With the teacher Francisco Crespi there was a lot of work to match the physical part, because they all come in different stages. Federico Gómez was in the field work as an assistant and making a lot of contact with everyone. Now we add Aviv Alfie in the psychology part.

How do you define the squad?

A young team accompanied by 4 older people with a lot of experience such as Claudio Charquero, Federico Della Mea, Martín Mayora and Federico Cholaquides. We are training very hard, very hungry to win and dreaming big.

What can you say about the bigger tiles?

They have already played together in other teams and that gives us a plus. As for Charquero, he has a thousand battles above, he is a natural leader, and together with Della Mea they are empowered because they are winners. On the other hand, Mayora is class A for this division, she wants them all, and Cholaquides revolutionizes the squad with a lot of imprint.

What can young people give you?

From the hand of Iñaki Erroizarena and Santiago Pereira, both of them a lot of goal, they are one of the most experienced of the young people that we have and makes it a long and rich squad in variety. On the other hand, Santiago Meinero, Bruno Acosta and Ramiro Da Costa Porto are other names that have a lot to contribute and are solutions from the bank.

What do you expect from the tournament? How do you define the contest?

Visiting all the stages again will be a great challenge, because we will also do it with an audience and we will have to get used to that. It is the party of the neighborhoods, full courts and with an end-of-the-world atmosphere like every DTA game. On the other hand, it will be a short tournament, so you have to be strong at home and steal the most visiting points.

A message for partiality?

The message is simple, we are working to give them joy and see the team on the court again, leaving everything in each game. Auriblanco is family and that is how we want to feel.
