A year of growth – DiarioSports – San Francisco

The lower divisions of the El Ceibo Association lived a 2021 of full growth in terms of competitiveness. In a year complicated by the dragging of the pandemic, the Aristóbulo del Valle y Cabrera club met its objectives.

With the professional team playing in the Final of the Provincial Basketball League, the “national flower” also had a good year in its training categories. Something that I had already been pointing to years ago and that finally began to be seen in 2021.

If we take into account in the San Francisco Associative Tournament, El Ceibo was awarded not only the championship in the First Division but also in the U15 category by the hand of its coach Lautaro Oitana. This division also had a good performance in the Provincial League reaching the Round of 16.

He also became runner-up in the U17 category, losing the final to San Isidro. With this team he also played in the Provincial Basketball League and took the podium, achieving third place in the Roadrunner Tournament.

This good passing of inferiors of the “flower” is completed with the runner-up in the U13 category, the smallest of the scoring divisions.

In all categories, the DT was Lautaro Oitana, today Eduardo Blengini’s assistant in the First Division, who told DSP that “The year in all categories was super positive. We have trained a lot to be able to obtain these results. We began training in October 2020, when they enabled us, and we did not cut with any category “.

U17 also had a great year

Added that “I think there is the secret there, the boys tried a lot, since during this year we had four months without competition and they continued training knowing how boring it can be to train and not have competition. There was no desertion of boys and that makes me happy “.

He also stated that “As the competition grows stronger and without wanting to look more at the results that unfortunately send out there. That leaves many behind. But thanks to the leaders we have conditions to work and it makes the boys want to be in the club “.

About the results he said that “The three finals we played were a prize. We have won in U15 and lost in U13 and U17 but you have to see all the previous effort “.

In a balance that makes by category Oitana highlights the growth of the U13, of the U15 the results obtained in the two disputed competitions, “In U17 I emphasize the competitive spirit, this category I already knew from having trained it, we gave in a little physically but they showed their will and the results were very good”
