81-91. Kahleah Cooper leads balanced attack and winner of Sky – Basketball – ABC Color

Arlington (Texas, USA), Jun 30 (EFE) .- The guard Kahleah Copper scored 17 points that left her in front of the winning attack of the Chicago Sky that beat the Dallas Wings 81-91 at home in a corresponding game to the day of the Professional Women’s Basketball League (WNBA).

Cooper, who also grabbed seven rebounds, topped a list of seven players who had double-digit numbers.

Forward Candace Parker achieved a double-double of 10 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks that allowed her to be the highlight in the inside game.

While guard Courtney Vandersloot also finished with another double-double of 10 points, 12 assists and four steals as a director in offense and defense for the Chicago team (10-8).

Another forward, reserve Azura Stevens, scored 13 points after scoring 6 of 7 shots from the field, including the only triple she made, and became Sky’s sixth player.

Guard Diamond DeShields and reserve point guard Allie Quigley also contributed 10 points each.

The forward, reserve Isabella Harrison, contributed 20 points, seven rebounds and finished with the best record of his career with four recoveries of the ball as the leader of the Wings.

Nigerian American guard Arike Ogunbowale finished as the best in the Wings’ inside game with a double-double of 20 points and 16 rebounds.

The Dallas team had a 32 percent shooting from the field and scored just 1 of 11 from outside the perimeter in the first half.

Sky hit 21 of 42 shots from the field and had 18 assists to take a partial 29-51 lead late in the second quarter. They had just 13 in a 74-58 loss to Connecticut on Sunday that snapped a seven-game winning streak.

The Wings had 30 points in the third quarter, their second-best scoring of the season, making 12 of 21 shots from the field.

Ogunbowale hit a pair of 3s before Harrison scored six straight points on a 12-2 streak to close out the third.

Backup guard Allisha Gray matched a layup and a 3 around Copper’s jump shot to open the quarter and cut Dallas’ deficit (64-71).

Parker responded with a layup to set off a 10-1 streak and Sky led by double digits the rest of the way.
