A new version of the Chile Cup is approaching to start the 2022-2023 season. The contest that has Atlético Puerto Varas as current champion returns with more games of the best Chilean basketball. The CDO+ League and the DOS League together in the same tournament.
It’s coming! is approaching the Chile Cup CDO+ 2022-2023, which will kick off a new season of the best Chilean basketball. This version of the event will also be historic and extensive, as it will have 30 teams. Liga CDO+ and Liga DOS, first and second division of Chile LNBtogether in this edition of the tournament.
The format will be zonal phase, playoffs and a final home run. Everything will be disputed between the September 24 and 25 until the December 17date on which we will meet the brand new champion.
First there will be two months of competition in the zonal phase. 30 teams divided into 6 zones and a total of 120 games in 10 weeks of game. Each team will play eight games. The last duels of this stage will be played on the weekend of November 26 and 27.
Then will come the Playoffswho will classify 8 teams. Who is it? The leaders of Zones A, B and C plus the best second of this group of zones (A, B and C); and the leaders of Zones D, E and F plus the second best of this group of zones (D, E and F).
The duels will be like this: the best first of the zones A, B and C will play against him best second of this group of zones (A, B and C), while the other two leaders will face each other. The same in the other group: the best first of the zones D, E and F will be measured against best second of this group (D, E and F) and the other bracket will be between the other two ranked leaders.
The series will be the best of three games and will be played between December 3 and 11.
Everything will be defined in final homer December 16 and 17. Semifinals, definition for third and fourth place, plus the grand final for the crown in a single venue to close the year of the best Chilean basketball. In this instance, the winners of each Playoff key will qualify.
