Yuli Gurriel wants to take the Batting Title from Vladimir Guerrero Jr.

The MLB regular season is in its final weeks, and with it, the competitions not only for the last places towards the playoffs, but also in individual awards such as the Cy Young, MVP, Golden Gloves, Silver Bates, andtc, with also the “unofficial” titles such as Champion Bat or home run champion, that in the American League, it seems that Vladdy Jr. won the Triple Crown.

However, there is someone who is competing with Vladito: After going 6-2 on Thursday, Cuban Yuli Gurriel now leads the Houston Astros with a total average of .31535, a slight advantage over Michael Brantley (.31498 ) that even for a few thousandths, count towards a possible Batting Title.

Gurriel and Brantley are second and third in the AL in prospect, respectively, behind Vladimir Gurrero Jr. (.317).

Brantley is on the disabled list, so his batting average won’t change until at least next week.

I started as a rookie on Al Bat in early 2018 and I am going into my third season covering Major League Baseball as a web reporter. I am a fan of the San Francisco Giants, a number one defender of Barry Bonds and a critic of the Los Angeles Dodgers. Fernando Tatis Jr., Juan Soto and Ronald Acuña are the future of baseball, Mike Trout is overrated, and the Astros deserved to be taken away from the World Series for cheating. Besides baseball, I also enjoy soccer, football, basketball, and just about any other game that includes a ball or a ball. I am also an amateur musician, penniless gamer and very nerdy. Graduated in journalism from the University of Guadalajara, I graduated in 2017. Born in the shrimp capital of the world, Escuinapa, Sinaloa. I lived in Australia for a while; i survived giant spiders, tasmanian devils and fought a kangaroo and didn’t die trying.
