Yasiel Puig says goodbye to his agent Rachel Luba

The Cuban guy Yasiel Puig and the Agent Rachel Luba have cut their ties, which joined in 2020 in search of the player to return to the Big leagues.

Puig, who lives with the hope of returning to the majors after seeing no action in 2020 and not in 2021, yearns to return in 2022. That is why he started making changes, one of them was no longer being a client of Rachel Luba .

Through his Instagram account he made the announcement public, thanking Luba and his company several times for the deal and all the time they were together, he clarified that it was not a personal or non-professional problem, he did not even give the reasons and was they speculate they weren’t bad.

Here the letter:

Free agent Yasiel Puig announced today that he has chosen to stop being represented by Luba Sports.

“I appreciate Rachel’s efforts on my behalf over the past year,” said Puig. “She is a wonderful person, and an extremely talented and knowledgeable agent. I wish him nothing but the best ”.

Puig will remain with his right-handed advisor and the first certified Cuban-American MLBPA agent, Lisette Carnet. Carnet worked with Puig before becoming his co-agent at Luba Sports, and has been instrumental in helping Puig recently achieve the personal and professional milestones necessary to ensure a successful bet to resume his MLB career.

“I have a vision for the rest of my career and I want to take full control of my path as an athlete,” said Puig.

“It’s important to me to align myself with advocates who understand my culture and origins first-hand. These people are bridges that help me to continue assimilating myself and making the best decisions for my career and my family ”.

Puig is preparing for his return to the MLB in 2022 after being named Defensive Player of the Year 2021 in the Mexican Baseball League.
