New York Yankees has had to make various modifications to his pitching staff in recent days due to the next incorporation of Corey Kluber in what will be his return to the MLB. One of the new changes of Yankees is using Luis Gil from the bullpen and not as a starter in minor league branches (MiLB) to analyze his performance for a possible return to the ‘big’ team where he currently has no space.
Aaron Boone announced that he has an unexpected plan for the next activity of super rookie pitcher Luis Gil who is currently playing in the New York Yankees Minor League.
The helmsman declared that the Dominican will pitch as a reliever and from the bullpen and not as a match opener as predicted for the Triple-A Scranton / Wilkes-Barre in MiLB.
Boone added that Gil’s departure will be “pitching as a starter” but they want to see him “from the bullpen,” which would be a ‘glimpse’ ‘of what he could do in a future major league return.
Luis Gil made a great debut with the New York Yankees in the 2021 MLB Season. However, Corey Kluber’s return to the mounds would leave him without a spot in the starting rotation at this point.
