The New York Yankees are down 2-0 in the American League Championship Series. against the Houston Astroswith the ALCS moving to Yankee Stadium, potentially being the last games Aaron Judge will play in the Bronx as a member of the team, as he will become a free agent once the team’s participation in the season ends, with his fate as of yet unknown.
The truth is that there are sources that indicate that Judge could be signing with the team he supported as a young man, the San Francisco Giants, being the franchise that sounds the most besides the New York Yankees. According to reporter Larry Krueger of 95.7 The Game San Francisco, a source told him that Judge will be playing in the bay in 2023 with a “90-95% chance.”
However, the Judge’s personal friend who played with him in the New York Yankees minor league system, Michael O’Neill, has denied Krueger’s report saying that his information does not compare with ‘his sources’, referring to the fact that he has direct contact with Aaron Judge and would know firsthand the plans that the Yankees superstar has.
O’Neill was selected by the Yankees in the third round of the 2013 draft and was never able to reach MLB, playing for the Bronx, Rangers, Reds and Brewers branches, playing in Triple A, retiring in the 2019 season at 27 years of age.
