Yankees agree with 3 Venezuelans in international signing period

The New York Yankees reached agreements with three Venezuelan players, international prospects, during the beginning of the signing period. The Bronx team signed a shortstop, catcher and first baseman on Saturday, January 15, 2022.

The first Venezuelan baseball player, whose signature was first known, was from shortstop, Louis Suarez, who received a $50K bonus. In a video posted by Eli Fishman, you can see that Luis Suarez is a young player with a lot of speed on the trails. Here is a sample of a clean triplet signed by the prospect.

Receiver joined the signature list Diomedes Hernandez, who was agreed by the Yankees since March and played at the Diomedes Academy, in Caracas, Venezuela. This information was collected from the Somos Del Tuy website.

And finally, Abraham Ramirez, first baseman and outfielder, also reached an agreement with the New York institution. The prospect played at the Swing Player Academy in Venezuela.
