The national pastime of all Cubans throughout the year gives us multiple emotions that keep us in suspense throughout the entire tournament, always with the reward of having satisfaction and joy from the team of our choice.
There are many controversies throughout the country due to countless comparisons between athletes with spectacular numbers, but their performances are always influenced by the different stages in which they played, such is the case of Omar Linares from Pinar del Río and the star of the Astros Houston’s Yulieski Gurriel or first baseman José Dariel Abreu and Escambray Giant Antonio Muñoz.
That is why we will be selecting two teams with the best numbers in our opinion, both with wooden and aluminum bats throughout the first 39 National Baseball Series, always bearing in mind that the wooden bat had its foray into National Series from 1962 to 1977.

Next, the players are presented with their statistical numbers using only the wooden bat and players who used the aluminum bat from 1977 to 11/28/99, so players who have used both types of bat are not included.
The teams we select are made up of players who at different times were part of the Cuban baseball teams.

In the statistics that have been compiled, it can be seen how the batters who played with an aluminum bat achieved a higher performance than those obtained with a wooden bat.
However, in the present comparative analysis that was carried out, it is necessary to consider the types of balls used and the different structures that have been modified throughout the history of this sport in our country.
