He played 18 seasons in the Major Leagues, being recognized as a performing player, with interesting numbers, but which in the opinion of the voters of the Association of Chroniclers were insufficient at the time, due to the characteristics of his game, which require greater production.

During his career Abreu played only four times in the postseason, in which he dispatched 19 hits in 20 games, 6 doubles, a home run, 9 RBIs and the same number of runs, to leave an offensive line of .284 / .392 / .418 /.810.
