NEW YORK – Gary Sanchez homered off Greg Holland in the ninth inning, Luke Voit hit the winning double and the New York Yankees survived a blown save by Aroldis Chapman to defeat the Royals 6-5 on Wednesday night. Kansas City.

Pinch-running back Tyler Wade advanced to third base on a wild pitch and Voit, in his second game since coming off the disabled list, became entangled with a slider that he deposited against the left-field wall, falling about a foot from the home run. Wade scored without much trouble.
It was the first hit to win a game in Voit’s career and New York has six wins in its last at-bat this season.
