The Chicago White Sox face the Texas Rangers on Saturday night, September 18, as part of the weekend series at Globe Life Field.

The four Cubans from the White Sox were part of the starting lineup, consecutively and in the first four places. It is the first time in 2021 that a team has the first four batters from the same country (except the United States). Pride for Cuba!

The first hitter of the challenge was Robert, who connected from foul a fastball 92 miles from the opposing starter just after singing play ball. The next delivery (another fastball at 92 MPH) passed very close to his arm. The Cuban dropped the bat and prepared to go to first base.

The referee never sang dead ball, so Robert had to keep hitting. However, on the first play of the game the White Sox asked for the Replay Challenge. The decision was upheld and the Cuban, after so much, had to go back to the box. Finally, the turn was defined with a single to center field.

Let’s see the play, did he hit him or not?
