Nelson Cruz was removed from the Twins’ lineup due to neck discomfort

Kirk, for his part, has not shown what he is capable of either. Currently, he is .225 average in 17 games. “The Twins are betting on the future and those two players can serve as currency, but they might want more,” Heyman said Thursday in a video call conversation.
A trade for Cruz involving two young players would be an acceptable bet for Toronto, which aims to return to the playoffs with a more mature core and a “Vladdy Jr.” in all its glory.
