With the movements of the preseason in the MLBthere is no doubt that the New York Mets they will have the best starting rotation next season.
But those of the National will not be the only ones in the Big leagues with a solid body of starters. These five teams will have a fearsome rotation in 2022.
The management of the Mets gave notice with the hiring of the star Max Scherzer before the lockout, which in and of itself put them at the top of the tour’s starting pitching knowing they have three-time Cy Young winner Jacob deGrom as their ace. But when the market reopened and they brought in Chris Bassitt in a trade, they no longer had enemies.
This is what the rotation will look like:
1) Jacob deGrom
2) Max Scherzer
3) Chris Bassett
4) Carlos Carrasco
5) Taijuan Walker
Milwaukee doesn’t have as high a profile as some other clubs, but looking at the numbers it’s clear they own the second-best starting rotation. They have 2021 Cy Young winner Corbin Burnes and fifth-place winner Brandon Woodruff. They also come from having the second best collective ERA among starters.
This will be your rotation:
1) Corbin Burnes
2) Brandon Woodruff
3) Freddy Peralta
4) Adrian Houser
5) Eric Lauer
The White Sox will not have Carlos Rodón this year, who went to San Francisco after his best season on the mound (with no hitter included) and even so they have a luxury starting corps, with a lot of confidence in the jump of Michael Kopech from the bullpen and the growth of Dylan Cease.
This is Tony La Russa’s rotation in 2022:
1) Lance Lynn
2) Lucas Giolito
3) Dylan Cease
4) Michael Kopech
5) Dallas Keuchel
All eyes are on the signing of Nick Castellanos and Kyle Schwarber and their impact on offense, and they pay little attention to the Phillies’ good rotation for 2022. They will, however, need Zack Wheeler to be healthy and for Philadelphia to improve the defensive aspect to be able to fight the Mets in the East of the National League. Joe Girardi is considering Aaron Nola as an Opening Day starter
The Phillies’ starters in 2022 will be
1) Zack Wheeler
2) Aaron Nola
3) Kyle Gibson
4) Ranger Suarez
5) Zach Eflin
Certainly there are many doubts about the health of Luis Severino and Jameson Taillon, with a known tendency to get injured, and of course having an arm of hierarchy would have put them on another level. But the Yankees’ rotation isn’t as weak as it’s made out to be, especially if Gerrit Cole can stay strong all year and the rest of the group is in good shape.
Aaron Boone will have these men in his starting rotation in 2022:
1) Gerrit Cole
2) Jordan Montgomery
3) Jameson Taillon
4) Luis Severino
5) Nestor Cortes
