Reds 104 MPH prospect Hunter Greene headed to the Majors

Super prospect Hunter Greene of the Cincinnati Reds will be the team’s fourth starter to start the 2022 MLB season.

The #1 prospect of Cincinnati Reds, Hunter Greene, capable of launching up to 104 MPH, received great news. Greene managed to earn a spot in the rotation as the 4th starter and will make his debut on April 10 against the Atlanta Braves at Truist Park in the MLB 2022..

Hunter Greene 22 years old, 6’5 tall and 220 pounds, was the 2nd pick of the 1st round of the 2017 draft of the MLB . He signed for about 7.2 million. Hunter has been trying to make the team with the Reds since 2021, but was optioned to the Minors with just one inning pitched in the 2021 STs.

Although he didn’t get any more chances because the Reds were convinced he needed to improve his control in the Minor Leagues, the following year, Greene only needed 3 innings to make the team.

Hunter Greene is coming off a 2021 where he pitched at Double-A and Triple-A, posting numbers like: WL: 10-8, 3.30 ERA, 21 games, 106.1 IP, 139 K, 39 BB and a 1.18 WHIP.
