Police foil possible shooting at 2021 MLB All-Star Game

Denver, Colorado /

Thanks to a statement from an employee of the Maven Hotel in Denver, police discovered 16 guns and more than 1,000 rounds of ammunition for what was planned would be a “Las Vegas style shooting” at the time all the events of the All-Star Game 2021 of the MLB in the Coors Field.

The police executed a search warrant Inside the room, where a man was taking care of all the seized objects. After hours, new statements were made in which the total number of detainees was 4 people, three men and one woman. Within the operation, two cars in which they had allegedly traveled were seized.

At the moment, the investigation is still active and the police invite citizens to collaborate with the department by letting them know that if any information is known about the detained persons or the event, they can assist in the testimony as witnesses.

“The investigation and arrests were the result of a lead from the public, which serves as an excellent example of the critical role the community plays in public safety,” police said in a news release Saturday night.

Activities for the All-Star Game are still fully on track following the agenda that already had. As for security measures, they will be increased when entering the stadium and its surroundings for the good of the fans and the general population.
