MLB: Yankees would not give Judge a ‘Mike Trout or Mookie Betts’ contract

New York Yankees Apparently they are working hard for a contract with star outfielder Aaron Judgewho said that during the regular season he would not negotiate an extension, so the deadline is the Opening Day of MLB. The truth is that it has been reported that he has already received a juicy offer, but perhaps the length of the contract itself would be one of the first problems.

According to information from Jon Heyman of MLB Network, the Yankees would have offered Juge a contract with an average salary of $30 million per year, but the problem would be the length, since according to the same reporter, they do not want to go to what for example, the Angels gave Mike Trout or the Dodgers gave Mookie Betts, with those contracts being for more than 10 years.

They are waiting to make an offer, and I think they already did it last weekend. My understanding is that they’re willing to pay him $30 million or more per season, but years are going to be the issue. And my sources tell me they wouldn’t want to go in a range like the Mike Trout or Mookie Betts contract.

Trout’s and Betts’ contracts are the two most lucrative in MLB history respectively, with the Angels giving Trout $426 million over 12 seasons in 2019 plus a $20 million signing bonus, while the Dodgers gave Mookie Betts a Also a 12-year, $365 million deal in 2020, with the Yankees not wanting to go beyond 6 or 7 years for Judge.

Fernando Tatis Jr., Juan Soto and Ronald Acuña are the future of baseball, Mike Trout is overrated, and the Astros deserved to have the World Series taken from them for their cheating. Besides baseball, I also enjoy football, flag football, basketball, and just about any other game that involves a ball or ball. I’m also an amateur musician, a penniless gamer and very nerdy.
