MLB: Three Dodgers players who could be left off the roster for the Playoffs

It has been known for a long time that Dodgers to play playoffsThis, after tying his pass for several weeks ago. However, it remains to be seen if they will play the Game of National League Wild Cards, probably against Cardinals, or if they will advance directly to Division Series by an opponent to be defined later. It will all depend on the record with which they and their archrivals San Francisco Giants finish.

Currently the teams are allowed to have 28 players added to their roster, however, on October 6, when the Wild Card Series (Wild Card Series) takes place, the two contenders will have to reduce their list to 26. In case of For Los Angeles to play that life and death game, manager Dave Roberts will have to sacrifice players to meet the requirement that MLB asks clubs to advance to the postseason. These are the three players the Dodgers could knock off their roster in the playoffs:

  1. Evan Phillips.- The former Rays reliever who was taken over by the Dodgers through waivers from Tampa, is one of the candidates to be sacrificed by manager Dave Roberts. He is currently on the Major League Baseball roster, however, after his lack of activity and inconsistency, he could lose his spot.
  2. Andrew Vasquez.- This rookie of 28 years and only 6 innings and two-thirds of work as a pitcher in the Major Leagues could be another of the guillotined by the current champion leader. His lack of experience and little activity on the shooting mound, such as Phillips’ case, could be the main factor for not being taken into account in the postseason.
  3. Matt beaty.- Although he is a multifunctional player, one of those that Roberts loves, the leading role that Gavin Lux has taken, currently serving as a utility, could leave out Beaty, who despite having appeared at the plate 229 times, the Lux’s good performance could overshadow her attendance at October’s big party.
