MLB: The top ten 2021 Rookie of the Year candidates in both leagues

Some stability in the ranks. For just the second time this season, we have a repeat pick at the top of the Rookie Power Rankings. The left-handed pitcher of the Miami Marlins, Trevor Rogers, continues to dominate the pothole as the Major Leagues head toward the midpoint of the season, thereby solidifying his place as the player most likely to claim an award. Rookie of the Year 2021 in the MLB Pipeline estimate.

The only other player to repeat at No. 1 this season was the third baseman for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Ke’Bryan Hayes, back in April, and the former Top 10 overall prospect just so happens to be back in consideration here after his return from a wrist injury that kept him out for two months:

  5. Jazz Chisholm Jr., 2B / SS, Marlins = .271 / .337 / .470 in 45 games.
  6. Casey Mize, RHP, Tigers = 3.49 ERA, 1.07 Whip, 62 strikeouts in 77.1 innings.
