One of the busiest off seasons in recent years has already started with the end of the World Series MLB 2021 a few days ago. As a result of this, various forecasts of possible negotiations between players and teams have emerged, one of the most recent being the MLB.com prediction that the San Francisco Giants will sign Max Scherzer and Justin Verlander by 2022.
According to the predictions of Anthony Castrovince of MLB.com, the San Francisco Giants will look to seize the services of Max Scherzer and Justin Verlander for the 2022 MLB Season.
Castrovince says the Bay team would try to sign the veteran pitchers this offseason to cover a rotation that could lose elements from free agency, as it already lost Johnny Cueto.
Max Scherzer had a remarkable 2021 season with both the Washington Nationals and the Los Angeles Dodgers, having been on this team where he gave his best performances before becoming a free agent.
Justin Verlander, meanwhile, is already in free agency but contrary to Scherzer, this year he couldn’t see action with the Houston Astros following Tommy John surgery.
