After having signed Aaron Judge With a historic $360 million, nine-year deal, the New York Yankees have another outfielder on their radar who remains available in free agency.
According to information from Jon Morosi of MLB Network, the New York board would like Andrew Benintendi return to team to reinforce left field. Nevertheless, there would be an obstacle for the signature to materializesince the former Red Sox and Royals outfielder is requesting a five-year contract, while the Bombers would be willing to sign him for three or maximum four seasons.
It should be remembered that Benintendi was acquired by the Yankees at the trade deadline, coming from Kansas City, however, an injury forced him to miss the final stretch of the tournament, including the playoffs.
With Judge locked up, the Manhattan Mules are starting Judge and Harrison Bader, and while Aaron Hicks is still a part of the team, it appears that he is no longer essential in manager Aaron Boone’s lineup. It’s even been rumored that Hicks could be traded out of the Yankees.
