MLB News: Braves trade with Red Sox for IF cut from roster after Jansen signing

Three days after being designated for assignment by the So Networkx, the south korean infielder park todayalready has a new team in the Big leagues.

This Friday, the board of Boston informed that they had reached an agreement with the Bravos to transfer Park to the organization of Atlanta. In return, the Red Sox will get a player to be named later.

It should be noted that the 26-year-old Park had to be the sacrificed player on the Red Sox’s 40-man roster to give up a spot to veteran closer Kenley Jansen.

Boston originally acquired Park from Pittsburgh on Nov. 23 for Venezuelan left-handed pitcher Inmer Lobo. In 68 career games with the Yankees and Pirates, Park is hitting .201/.291/.346 with five home runs and 20 RBIs.
