MLB: Kenley Jansen close to signing contract with Dodgers archrival, his former team

The famous MLB Network correspondent, Jon Paul Morosi, recently reported that the San Francisco Giants have shown serious interest in signing the veteran free agent closer Kenley Jansona right-handed pitcher who threw with his los angeles dodgers for 12 seasons before signing a one-year deal with the Bravos the last tournament.

Morosi notes that Bay Area president of baseball operations Farhan Zaidi, as well as manager Gabe Kapler, know Jansen well from his time in the Dodgers’ front office. It is said off the record that Jansen’s new contract with the Giants could be for two years.

Jansen, 35, posted a 3.38 ERA with a NL-best 41 saves last season with Atlanta after spending the first 12 seasons of his career with the Chavez Ravine.

In “Al Bat”, we truthfully reveal to our readers the most relevant news in the world of baseball, mainly from the MLB, winter leagues from Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Venezuela and the Asian continent. I am a fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League and the Boston Red Sox in the American League. My big dream is to see the Fenway Park stadium, the historic site of the “Red Sox”.
