The controversy surrounding to the current Hall of Fame vote has certainly made everyone in MLB, from journalists, players and fans wonder about the legitimacy of the elections that are held each year, since there is no unified criterion, there are discrepancies between opinions and that causes annoyance and controversy every year, but recently the discontent is more.
Given this, the journalist Andy Martino of SNY through his Twitter account has taken an extreme position before the statements of the president of the Hall of Fame, Josh Rawitch with Buster Olney of ESPN, where he simply asks one thing: Abolish the system of Hall of Fame voting.
The Hall of Fame election has become the main cause of hostility, with the tabulation and dissection of individual ballots, carrying an angry nearly two-month-long debate further embittered by social media. That’s one of the main reasons why there shouldn’t be more Hall of Fame voting, in my honest opinion.
The president of Rawitch himself mentioned in his interview that he would be considering making modifications to the voting system in the future.
