MLB: Giants are ‘upbeat’ after meeting with Aaron Judge went well

The San Francisco Giants have shown themselves to be quite diligent in their effort to attract to Aaron Judge to the Bay and convince him to sign: During the week they held meetings with the brand new American League MVP and they took him to see Oracle Park, as well as meeting several of the Judge’s childhood idols, as well as other area stars like Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors. Ultimately, there was no formal money offer, but there is plenty of optimism.

According to information from MLB.com’s Jon Morosi, the Giants’ front office is feeling pretty good about their chances to sign Judge after the productive meetings and they believe they are ahead of the game in their race to win his contract for the following campaign, with many already considering them favorites to achieve it.

As mentioned before, there has been no formal money offer and there are other reporters like ESPN’s Jeff Passan who continue to believe that Aaron Judge will re-sign with the New York Yankees no matter what.

According to sources, they have told Morosi that Judge would not take long to make his decision as to where he would sign, perhaps the most plausible term being the end of the Winter Meetings on December 7th.
