At the end of the day on Tuesday, an eleven of clubs no longer have any chance to access the 2021 season playoffs from MLB: They are six teams from the American League and five from the National those who have already been left out of the Postseason and now to focus on 2022.
In the so-called ‘Young Circuit’ the Baltimore Orioles, Texas Rangers, Minnesota Twins, Kansas City Royals, Los Angeles Angels and more recently the Detroit Tigers have already thrown in the towel. The next to be left out would be Cleveland:
In the also known as ‘Old Circuit’ the Arizona D-backs, Pittsburgh Pirates, Washington Nationals, Miami Marlins and Chicago Cubs have already received the 27th out. The Colorado Rockies are the one hanging by a thread.
Until September 9 there were only five eliminated novenas, so in a period of 12 days another six teams have left, which will have to watch the Postseason from home.

So at the moment there are still 19 clubs (out of 30) alive and only two of them will reach the World Series in October.
