The right fielder of the Los Angeles Dodgers, Mookie Betts, was eliminated from the lineup today Monday with inflammation of the right hip. It’s the same injury that forced Betts out of Saturday’s game in the seventh inning. Betts said the injury has been something he has been struggling with all season.
It is not yet clear when he will play again. Matt beaty replaced Betts for the first game of the series today against the San Francisco Giants at Dodgers Stadium:
The former Boston Red Sox outfielder is hitting .271 this season with 14 home runs and 40 RBIs in 81 games. He has scored 63 runs, has 85 hits and has stolen seven pads.

So when does this happen to Mookie, when the Dodgers are just one game behind the Giants and they’re looking to catch up. In addition, LA has a four-game lead over the San Diego Padres, third-place in the NL West.
