MLB: Arenado lavishes praise like never before, on a teammate in Cardinals

One of the players who is firmly on the way to being a serious candidate for the National League MVP is, without a doubt, the Cardinals first baseman, Paul Goldschmidtwho despite not attracting as much attention as other great superstars, seems to be on his way to compete for what, if he wins, would be his first Most Valuable Player award.

Throughout his 12 years of experience in the Major Leagues, the veteran first baseman has been one of the most consistent and therefore one of the most underrated sluggers in the best ball in the world. However, this season, with 35 years above him, Goldschmidt appears to be at his best, even better than he was in his previous years with the Diamondbacks.

Right now, Goldschmidt is the batting leader not only in the old circuit, but in the entire league, with an amazing .342 average. He also has 19 home runs and 65 RBIs. Of his teammates in St. Louis, who seems most surprised by the first baseman’s natural talent is Nolan Arenadomultiple Gold Glove winner and the top star at third base in the Big leagues.

“He’s the smartest player I’ve ever seen in my life.” He recently declared Arenado to The Athletic, about what he thinks of his partner.

Everything seems to indicate that Paul Goldschmidt is on his way to participate in his seventh All-Star Game. Cane remember that his resume also highlights that he has won four Gold Gloves and six Silver Sluggers.

In 12 seasons in the majors, Goldschmidt is hitting .295 for life, with 299 homers and 992 RBIs, indicating that he is indeed one of the most consistent pieces in MLB in the last decade.

After having been a radio announcer for a few years in the “Perla Tapatia”, I returned to my hometown, Mazatlán, Sinaloa and was hired by El Debate Newspaper in May 2019. My first months in El Debate were writing articles for the vertical: “My Pocket”, however, in September of the same year I became part of the powerful lineup of “Al Bat”, where I am still working as a web journalist. In “Al Bat”, we truthfully present to our readers the most relevant aspects of the baseball world, mainly from the MLB, winter leagues in Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Venezuela and the Asian continent. I am a fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League and the Boston Red Sox in the American League. My big dream is to get to know the Fenway Park stadium, the historic venue of the “Patirrojos”.
