The period of free agency of this 2021 is considered to be one of the busiest in recent years. Although there are still months to go before the start of the next season of MLB, predictions of the players who would go to a new team are already emerging. An example is that according to the predictions of specialists, San Francisco Giants would look to sign Kenley Jansen this off season.
Jim Bowden, writer for The Athletic and former MLB general manager, recently stated that Kenley Jansen would be wanted by the San Francisco Giants during this offseason for 2022.
Bowden says the Bay team is one of the four best options for the closer to sign after becoming a free agent at the end of the 2021 season as his contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers came to an end.
The San Francisco Giants had an outstanding staff of pitchers during the season just ended, but several of those elements also became free agents and would have to consider enlisting the services of others.
Kenley Jansen, meanwhile, improved his performances for the Los Angeles Dodgers in MLB 2021. In 69 games in which he saw action during the regular role, he had 38 saves and a 2.22 ERA.
