Miguel Cabrera wants to reach 3,000 hits soon

Miguel Cabrera has been a part of many spring training throughout his career. But as the years go by, he has noticed that each one looks alike, except for this 2022. After the end of the negotiations between MLB and the Players Association, the Creole slugger believes that this short preparation time has similarities with another competition: The World Baseball Classic.

“It is the shortest of all” expressed Miguel Cabrera around the spring preseason. “It seems that we are going to the Clásico, we have to be there as early as possible to be ready”, he added. He also expressed his optimism when the negotiations were taking placeeven though this affected his offseason tuning with the Detroit Tigers. “We had more time to do weights, but it was stressful because of the negotiations. Each spring, The Venezuelan is going through a long process to get in shape for the season. He faces quite a few challenges due to the injuries that he has had for several harvests.

“The body does not weigh but there is more pain, something normal for so many years that I have played. The chronic injury I have in my knee”, clarified Cabrera. But in the same way, he does not lose his optimism and the desire to play. “We have to keep fighting, there are no excuses. It is something that you have there and that affects you mentally more than anything, “he explained to the microphones of the renowned American television station.

Leaving aside his topic with injuries, he pointed out his goal to reach the 3,000 career uncatchable mark in the Big Tent.
