Mexico lost the final of the U23 baseball World Cup to Venezuela

The Mexican team was in second place after falling in the duel for the championship four runs to zero. Venezuela lifted the title and Colombia was third place

The Mexico U-23 baseball team lost 0-4 to its Venezuelan counterpart in the grand finale of the specialty World Cup, which was held at the Sonora Stadium, home of the Naranjeros of the Mexican Pacific League.

With this result, the Mexican ninth was in second place and the silver medal was hung, which was delivered by Ana Gabriela Guevara, director of Conade, and Alfonso Durazo, governor of Sonora.

“This category is the preamble for many of being great players in this beautiful sport, I ask for applause and my recognition for Venezuela, a worthy champion of this event,” said Guevara at the award ceremony.

At the ceremony they also awarded the ninth from Colombia, who won the bronze and also hung a medal.
