Mets: Diamond lost by Javy Báez is valued at $ 200,000

For the New York Mets these last weeks have not been benevolent neither on the pitch nor off it, since they are not only complicating their passing to the MLB playoffs, but in extra-sporting trouble, its general manager Zack Scott was arrested for driving while intoxicated, in addition to Javier Báez and Francisco Lindor messed with the Queens fans, being booed and they booing back with celebrations.

In one of the games of the week, Javy Báez scored the winning run against the Marlins in the ninth inning, where in the celebration or during the tour of the bases he lost a diamond earring that had almost the entire team including the President Sandy Alderson, as well as the cleaning staff, who despite all efforts, have yet to find.

It was not known at first how much money the wizard lost was valued at, but according to Mets Fox Sports commentator Wayne Randazzo, the diamond is worth around $ 200,000, which explains the determination with which everyone was looking for him on the ground.

Has someone taken it without Baez noticing? So far the whereabouts of the precious piece of jewelry is still unknown.

I started as a rookie on Al Bat in early 2018 and I am going into my third season covering Major League Baseball as a web reporter. I am a fan of the San Francisco Giants, a number one defender of Barry Bonds and a critic of the Los Angeles Dodgers. Fernando Tatis Jr., Juan Soto and Ronald Acuña are the future of baseball, Mike Trout is overrated, and the Astros deserved to be taken away from the World Series for cheating. Besides baseball, I also enjoy soccer, football, basketball, and just about any other game that includes a ball or a ball. I am also an amateur musician, penniless gamer and very nerdy.
