LVBP: Jhonny Pereda happy to arrive in Cincinnati. “The LVBP level has helped me”

Jhonny Pereda has been living a great present with the Leones del Caracas in the current harvest of the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League, and that hard work has paid off, as the Cincinnati Reds became interested in the Venezuelan, and have decided to give him a chance to sign, and also an invitation to Spring Training.

And it is that despite the great additions that the Leones del Caracas have had (Gleyber Torres and Eugenio Suárez), and despite the high level shown by other pieces that have been in the league for a while (Freddy Fermín, Isaías Tejeda, José Rondón), Pereda has not missed opportunities to show his qualities, and has more than responded to the responsibilities that José Alguacil grants him.

Pereda spoke exclusively with the Meridiano Brand, and did not hide his excitement at his arrival in Cincinnati. “It was a pretty tough job, but I feel lucky to get this opportunity with the Cincinnati Reds.”he pointed.

The level of the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League has undoubtedly increased a lot this season, thanks to the large number of major leaguers that are seeing action. For Pereda, this has undoubtedly been important in his development, and in signing him with the Reds. “This year the league has a lot of good players. That has helped me. Competing with the people I’m going to compete against in the United States has certainly helped me.”.

Of the great leagues of the LVBP, a good part is found in the Leones del Caracas, which are counting on players like Gleyber Torres, Eugenio Suárez and Harold Castro. Pereda also highlighted the importance of having such important names by his side. “They are the figures of the team, and that gives you confidence. Within the clubhouse they are great companions, and that is very important.”he expressed.

In addition, Pereda did not want to pass up the opportunity to throw flowers at the Caraquista fans, and express his emotion for having already experienced several games to a full house at the University Stadium. “It is a great emotion. People come here for us, and it is a source of pride for everyone”he pointed out.

We wish to say thanks to the writer of this post for this awesome content
