LMP: Yaquis win and win their 3rd victory

CULIACÁN, Mexico – Alonzo Harris responded with an RBI single in the top of the ninth inning to break a tie and the Ciudad Obregón Yaquis defeated the Culiacán Tomateros 3-2 on Friday for their third straight win at the start of the season. Mexican Pacific League.

Victor Mendoza went 4-2 with a home run and two RBIs to stand out in the Yaquis’ offense.

In Hermosillo, the Naranjeros exploded with a six-touchdown attack in the bottom of the third and beat the Cañeros de Los Mochis 6-5.

Walter Ibarra went 3-for-4-3 with a double and two RBIs, Nicolás Torres had three hits with a double and an RBI and José Cardona had an RBI double from another run for the Naranjeros.

Elian Leyva won (1-0) after allowing one run and five hits in six solid innings, in which he did not walk away and adorned his work with six fans. Guadalupe Chávez lost (0-1), punished with five runs and six hits in two innings.

In Mexicali, a brilliant outing by Gabriel García led the Sultanes de Monterrey to a 3-1 victory over the Aguilas.

Garcia (1-0) completed six brilliant two-hitter scoreless innings with four fans to claim the win. The loss went to David Reyes (0-1) by allowing two runs and five hits in four innings.

Alberto Carreón went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and Anthony Giansanti added an RBI single of one more for the winners.
