The wait is over and the fate of Aaron Boone, who will lead the New York Yankees for another three seasons, according to a report by MLB, confirmed by the club. The deal includes an option for 2025.
“We have a person and a manager in Aaron boone that he possesses the insight of baseball and the widespread respect in our club to continue to guide us forward, “Yankees owner Hal Steinbrenner said in a statement.
“As a team and as an organization, we must grow, evolve and improve. We need to improve. I know that Aaron fully accepts our expectations of success and I look forward to harnessing his intelligence, instincts and leadership to achieve our next championship of the World Series ”, He added.

Dave Roberts, the manager of the Los Angeles Dodgers, confirmed that he has third baseman Justin Turner for Tuesday’s game.
“Justin is here at Dodger Stadium receiving treatment as we speak,” Roberts told the MLB website on Monday. “He feels better than yesterday, so I hope he’s in the lineup tomorrow.”
Turner is not doing well on offense. In seven games this postseason he has 3 hits in 28 at-bats and only one of those hits has been extra base.

The Houston Astros made a lineup change Monday and put Jose Siri in centerfield, but Jake Meyers could be back today in Game 4 of the American League Championship Series.
Meyers has improved from a blow to the left shoulder in Game 4 of the Division Series. “Every day is important when you are fighting an injury. He’s making tremendous progress and he’s doing everything he can to recover and come back, ”manager Dusty Baker told the Houston Chronicle.
