Josh Naylor, operated after collision with partner

CLEVELAND – Josh naylor, a Cleveland Indians outfielder, underwent surgery on Friday for multiple fractures and torn ligaments he suffered in a collision with a teammate during a game in Minnesota last Sunday against the Twins.

The surgery was performed by foot and ankle specialist Dr. Mark Berkowitz at a clinic in Cleveland. Naylor may miss the remainder of the Major League season.

Naylor and rookie second baseman, Ernie clement, collided when trying to field a fly ball in right field. Naylor’s foot caught under her body after colliding with Clement. Naylor was left extended with the lower part of the right leg bent back.
